As of February 7th, 2025 , to play this game either you downgrade your Proton version or you use option DirectX11. Since it is an Unreal Engine game then add -dx11 as option through command line.
Since I don't use Proton but customized Wine versionthen in my case it will be
gamemoderun wine lollipop.exe -dx11
