Game Player is starting to support Laserdisc games that are present in MAME's emulation, with support for the excellent Daphne emulation coming soon!

Laserdisc games are, of course, games that use a Laserdisc as part of their graphics. This was a trend that started in the early 1980s, and lasted for a few years before game designers realized the limited and gimmicky nature of such games, notwithstanding that the Laserdisc players inside these machines, even though they were industrial units, were simply not cut out for the constant use and jerky seeks required to play these games on a daily basis. So the whole concept simply went out of fashion."
