Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific will soon be receiving another massive content drop with Season 2, so here’s everything we know including its release date, content, and map changes.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Warzone Pacific Season 2 update, including its release date, time, teased map changes, and new weapons.
Warzone underwent a major change with the Pacific update, receiving all of Vanguard’s weapons on an entirely new map – Caldera. Now that the mid-season update has been and gone, players are looking forward to what’s next.
This large Warzone update will go live on February 14 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM EST / 5 PM GMT
Iron Trials will be returning to Warzone playlists but this time the action will take place on Rebirth Island. Alongside this new Rebirth Island playlist, the devs also teased major changes coming to the map during Season 2.
Caldera Clash will be the second new mode to come to Warzone Pacific via Season 2 for a limited time. “Developed by High Moon Studios, Caldera Clash pits two teams of up to 48 Operators (divided into Quads) in a Deathmatch with wild events and power-ups.”
Nebula V Ammo & Bombs: “Classified as a Field Upgrade in Warzone, Nebula V Ammo is no stronger than regular bullets but does have one major exception: when an Operator is downed by them, they will emit a poisonous gas cloud. One of the rarest items in Warzone is the Nebula V Bomb, a locked briefcase full of deadly gas with an explosive charge. Once activated and set down in front of an Operator, it will detonate after a fixed countdown and cannot be disarmed or destroyed.”
Portable Decontamination Stations: Portable Decontamination Stations are a Field Upgrade made to counter Nebula V ” The Portable Decontamination Station, new Field Equipment in Caldera, is a portable device that filtrates air for several seconds, protecting anyone inside from the Circle Collapses or Nebula V gas.”
Armored Transport Trucks: These heavily guarded trucks are yet another new addition that ties into the chemical warfare theme of Warzone Pacific Season 2. These trucks will be difficult to destroy but will reward players with some rare items including the possibility of a Nebula V bomb. Bomber Planes: The Bomber Plane will be the second aerial mode of transportation in Warzone Pacific’s Vanguard modes. This plane was made to destroy vehicles and environments on the ground. “Bombers can also destroy Loadout Drops, which can fundamentally change how Operators approach these powerful sources of weapons.” In addition, Raven have tweaked the health of planes in Warzone making them easier to take down.
Redeploy Balloons: These new redeploy balloons will allow players to drastically reposition themselves across Caldera. If a player successfully ascends to the top of the balloon they can end up thousands of meters away from their original location. “Operators can ascend to the top of the balloon via a zipline tethered to the balloon, then leap off at the top and deploy their parachute to cover great distances. Planes or weaponry can destroy the Redeploy Balloon, and once the Balloon is deflated, Operators can spend a few hundred bucks to reinflate it.”
Warzone Season 2 map changes: The Season 2 update of Warzone Pacific will alter a few of Caldera’s POIs. For starters, “the refinery between the Mines and Docks that once produced phosphate has been repurposed and is now a newly constructed plant spewing out Nebula V.” Players will also be able to access Underground Chemical Weapon Research Labs across Caldera. Of course, if you make your way to one of these labs you’ll benefit from some rare loot if you make it out alive.
New weapons coming to Warzone Pacific Season 2: Four new weapons will be making their way to Warzone Pacific during Season 2 “Unlock the KG M40 Assault Rifle and Whitley LMG on day one through the Battle Pass; then prepare to add the Ice Axe and a prototypical SMG as you settle into Season Two.”
