Created and developed by Doug Smith and Dane Bigham and released in 1983 for the c64 and ported on many many systems Lode Runner is a great game that I have many fond memories of from my childhood. We forgot to mention it in the video but our uncle when babysitting us used to play this game well past midnight and when our parents came home would rush us up the stairs to pretend we were sleeping when we heard them pull up.
As you play your job is to collect all the boxes/gold on the level then climb up to the top of the screen to exit the level. At least six version are out in the wild on the commodore 64. Most of them were pretty much the same with different fan created levels.
