Die Logitech Lautsprecher X-540 nutzen FDD2 (Frequency Directed Dual Driver), um ein einheitliches Klangbild im gesamten Raum zu erzeugen. Man taucht ganz in das Spiel ein und erlebt im Matrix-Modus 5.1-Surround-Sound aus einer normalen 2-Kanal-Stereoquelle. Man kann die kompakten Lautsprecher an der Wand montieren und den Mittellautsprecher mit einer speziellen Halterung auf einem handelsüblichen Flachbildschirm anbringen, um mehr Platz auf dem Schreibtisch zu schaffen.
