This is the longplay of Soul Blazer, an action and role-playing game developed by Quintet and published by Enix in 1992 in Japan and the United States and in 1994 in Europe, being released exclusively for the Super Nintendo. In Japan the game is called Soul Blader.

The story of the game is as follows: King Magridd, ruler of the Freil Empire, is a greedy man. His only desire is to possess all the riches in the world. One day, the King heard about a man named Dr. Leo, considered a true genius (who, in addition to being a scientist and a painter, also has several pets and toys). Suddenly, the idea of making a pact with the Evil King came to Magridd's mind. So Dr. Leo was imprisoned by Magridd and ordered to build a machine to summon the Evil King, whose name is Deathtoll. When Deathtoll was summoned, Magridd told him that what he wanted, more than anything, was to obtain the greatest wealth in the world. Then, Deathtoll made a proposal: "A creature's life in exchange for a piece of gold". The proposal was accepted, and from that day forward, all creatures in the world began to disappear. Each of them became a subject of Deathtoll or banished to monster lairs.

In the game, we take on the role of a Divine Warrior, who needs to defeat monsters and revive all creatures of the Freil Empire, while also having to defeat Deathtoll. Skilled in the art of swordsmanship and magic, he will rely on several spirits who have also lived in the skies to assist him on his journey. He also possesses the ability to speak to any type of creature, from plants to animals.

The Hero will also have the help of the Master: superior entity, sovereign of Heaven and Earth, who has tasked you with restoring the Freil Empire to its original form and also with Lisa, the only daughter of Dr. Leo, who often takes care of animals, and has a big sentimental role in the hero's journey.

To fight enemies, the Hero uses his sword and spells (those fired by a spirit, which circles around the character), in addition to equipping armor and items that increase his attack and defense power. Each sword in the game is unique and requires a minimum level to be used, and yes, the player will have to use all of them, as certain enemies in the game are only defeated with a specific sword. The same goes for armor, as there is one that protects the character from taking damage from hot surfaces, another that allows him to breathe underwater and the like. Enemies come out of portals and it is necessary to destroy all enemies so that that portal turns into a button, which, when activated, revives a living being and other elements of the world. It is possible (and necessary) to go back a few times to previous stages in order to destroy enemies and obtain an item that was not possible before).

Its plot and gameplay follow the molds of ActRaiser, a previous game produced by Enix. In addition, it is considered by fans as the first game in a trilogy that consists of Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma, this is due to the fact that there are many similarities in the style of these games, starting from the point that they all portray a story about the creation of the world, in addition to other similarities. Despite this, officially, these three games are not recognized as a direct trilogy, although there is a relationship between them (especially between Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia). It's a good game, relatively little known and that came out in the early years of the Super Nintendo. The video was 100% made, with all 8 Swords, all 8 armors, all 8 magic Spells and the 5 helping souls, plus getting max status (it was a few hours of grinding before the final battle, max level is 50, but at level 47 all character stats are at maximum). I hope you enjoy the video.
