So, with the recent Summer update for Team Fortress 2, a new feature called the "Double Donk" was added to the Loose Cannon.


From update notes:

Added: Double-Donk (directly impacting an enemy within half a second before the bomb explosion) sound and particle effects
Double-Donk damage now mini-crits
