There are rumours that Microsoft are planning to bring loot boxes to the Xbox progression system. How this will work is anyone's guess but with the Star Wars Battlefront debacle and the fluctuation of EA's shares, it would seem like a bad time to be backing loot boxes. Maybe MS know more than us, though. Industry analysts are still backing EA to outperform the markets this year, so perhaps it isn't such a bad idea. After all, it's not like MS needs to regain consumer trust.
