There's one guide on GameFAQs that I briefly skimmed over. The author says that the final boss is a pushover. Well, that set me up for failure, let me tell you! Anyway, several attempts later and I emerged victorious. This is a tough game! Not sure if I can beat it without save states, but I'll give it a shot.
