Lost Eden (1995, CD-i) complete soundtrack
This is the highest known quality of the *ORIGINAL* Lost Eden soundtrack by Stéphane Picq. These are NOT the official CD re-arrangements, and unlike that release, all tracks are here! More info, download + timecodes below.

I got these from the CD-i version of the game almost a decade ago. These are the tracks as they were heard in the DOS version, besides the fact that DOS tracks were heavily sampled down and sometimes replaced sections by another loop, most likely to save space. The CD-i version is compressed as "MP2". (Yes, MPEG-1 Audio Layer II, not MP3.)
It's not perfect, but I'll take it any day over the official soundtrack album, which is actually re-arrangements that are disappointingly different:
• Track start & end points are (in my opinion) worse
• Citadel of Knowledge: extended with ambient intro/outro
• The Quest: one minute of ambient noises encroaching on music
• Main theme: the synth is replaced by singing, sounds mellower
• Amazonia: the singing is replaced by a synth
• Velociraptor Ride: shortened
• Undead Soul: synths replaced by odd singing, very different atmosphere
• Moorkus Rex's Lair, Uluru, Tamara: missing altogether
It might be interesting to make a DOS version of the soundtrack one day... perhaps I'll get around to it!
