In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch (Steam Next Fest). This game is a roguelite tactical turn based strategy RPG. This version of the game is very different than the previous demo coverage with a different Act One map. The story premise is that you crashed on an island while being a passenger on a ship and died. You met a strange women who gave you some bracelet and then woke up on the shores of the wrecked ship alive fighting zombies. You gained two party members during this Tutorial battle. From here, you learn about the other characters and make your way to town and gained more party members. The Town later acts as a Base Camp in which you return to at the end of an expedition (From death and failing along the expedition). The tactical turned based combat plays similar to (Wartales, Phoenix Point, X-COM, and Crown Wars: The Black Prince). When you do an expedition, at each of the node points along the path, you are given choices on what direction you would like to take mainly as a way to offer you different rewards. The direction you take really doesn't matter since it leads to the same next node point moving along the same path, only the reward matters. This game has a lot of interesting mechanic for leveling up gear with the use of sockets and resonance stones. There are relics in the game that gives various bonuses and perks. Choose up to 5 party members and complete the expedition. I really enjoyed the premise of the game and the combat mechanics and the challenges. It was a lot of fun. This game has a ton of playtime value and content for a demo. If you're into turn based tactical strategy RPG, this game is worth checking out. It releases into Early Access on November 5th.
