Since I can't quite decide between the halberd and the Hallowed Knight short sword, I thought about going the route from Path of Devotion to Pathway again, not skipping any enemies, as if I were doing it for the first time. But this time with the short sword instead of the halberd. I have to say, there is a clear difference, everything is a bit more difficult. The short sword has less range and does significantly less damage. On the other hand, it's quick and you can get between your opponent's attacks faster.
But overall, the halberd was more comfortable to use and the powerful blows were a lot of fun. What I like about the short sword, however, is the powerful crit strike when you break your opponent's stance, which looks and sounds very brutal.
All in all, I'm torn between the two. I would prefer to have a halberd with the characteristics of the Hushed Saind halberd, but the design is more like the Hallowed Knight sword. Difficult decision, design vs. function.
