Lufia & the Fortress of Doom Commentary #028, Elfrea: Artea's Gift

The party has collected the three colored gemstones from the Blue, Green, and Red Towers on the islands surrounding Elfrea. Now, the last step to reaching Elfrea is to install the gemstones in the pedestals in their respective towers in the correct order: blue, green, and red.
So, near Jenoba, the party first goes through the Blue Tower again (time 1:24). (By the way, Archers' Hi Arrows attacks are really ****ing annoying.) Here, they climb up to the top floor.
On the first floor, they go up the eastern stairway in the north to the second floor (time 2:43).
Up here, Aguro reaches Level 19 (time 3:08).
Shortly afterwards, Max reaches Level 21 (time 3:44).
The party takes the southern stairway up to the third floor (time 4:24). Then, they go up the stairway to the west to the fourth floor.
Afterwards, they go around and take the eastern stairway to the fifth floor (time 5:00).
On the roof, they place the Blue Jade from the Red Tower on its pedestal (time 5:27).
After placing the Blue Jade, they go around to the Green Tower on the southern island (time 9:49). Their first matter of business is to rest up at the inn through the eastern door.
To get to the top, note that the switch on the second floor must be up. It can be accessed via the stairs beyond the western doorway on the first floor. It was already up when I arrived.
To get to the top, the party first goes through the middle door on the first floor (time 10:23). Then, they go up the northeast stairway to the second floor (time 10:54).
On the second floor, they go up the eastern stairway to the third floor, though it doesn't really matter which, as long as the switch is up. On the third floor, they take the southern stairway to the fourth floor (time 11:02).
On the fourth floor, they take the nearby stairway to the fifth floor. They have now arrived at the top of the tower. Here, they place the Green Jade from the Blue Tower on its pedestal (time 11:08).
After dropping out, they make their way around to Ruan and the Red Tower in the east. They rest up in Ruan (time 13:12). The inn lets them sleep for free, now that the lake is back to normal. Nice!
After resting, they revisit the Red Tower to the west (time 14:47). Here, they head through the third door from the left. They go up the stairway in the room beyond to the second floor (time 14:55).
On the second floor, they head south and west and go through the nearby door (time 15:01). They head up the stairway within to the third floor.
On the third floor, they go all the way around. They go up the northeast stairway to the fourth floor (time 15:17).
On the fourth floor, they go up the stairway in the nearby room to the fifth level (time 15:57).
They are now on the roof. There, they place the Red Sapphire from the Medan Mines after the Green Tower on its pedestal (time 16:41).
An interesting scene takes place if all three gemstones have been properly placed. Jerin will learn the spell Elf. When she casts it, the party is transported to Elfrea!
They arrive on a tiny island in the sea between the three surrounding islands (time 18:02). When they enter the nearby settlement, they have arrived at last in Elfrea. The inn allows them to stay for free. The item shop sells Hi Potions and Hi Magics.
Just northwest of the entrance, a patch of grass in the midst of the flowers contains a hidden Spell Potion (time 18:12).
The weapons and armor shop has new equipment available (time 19:10). The Rod is an improvement for Lufia. The Trident is an improvement for one of the guys, provided you have the Battle Axe from the Old Cave Level 5, but there is a better weapon coming up soon. The Quilted Silk is good for both girls. However, you can wait until you get to Odel before you grind for cash.
In the northern house, the northeast chest contains a Speed Potion (time 19:51). The nearby stairs lead to a teleporter, but it is off-limits to humans, apparently.
The northwest chest contains a Mind Potion (time 20:09).
The party heads up the nearby stairway to the house's second level (time 20:54). As they enter the nearby room, some dialogue ensues between the elves within.
