Davilas the Elf is currently working on the storyline for Gatara, the first Dwarf hub city. Previously, he arrived in Gatara and viewed the initial events there. Apparently, a Dwarf girl in a costume inspired by Zorro stole something from the chief's junky house. Davilas must now help retrieve what she stole. Also, he has accepted two side quests in Gatara: Quest 009 and Quest 022.

First up, he hires a few party members in the pub.

Before leaving, he investigates another of Sanbitaria's targets, Memme, a lab-coated Dwarf at D-1 (time 4:37). Davilas obtains Mini Medal #005 for talking to her. For having spoken with 5 people for Sanbitaria so far, Davilas gets 3,000 gold. And that's not all! Memme offers Davilas Quest 199. This is the quest to get the Dolboard, an improved mode of transport. This requires going to the Urubea dungeon, which Davilas will eventually be visiting during the Gatara storyline, so best to pick it up now.

Tucked behind some crates, there is a chest containing 3 Iron Ores at D-1 (time 6:55).

Then, from the gate quest giver, Davilas accepts a quest to slay 20 shield-bearing critters in Mogarimu (time 7:32). Of course, Mogarimu is to the southeast of Gatara.

Then, Davilas heads out to the Gatara countryside to get to work (time 9:20). First, he will head towards some ruins in the area of F-4.

On the dais at F-4, Davilas can pick up a chunk of Mirrorstone (time 14:03).

On the same dais at F-4, for Quest 009, Davilas must investigate the little pillar (time 14:09). There is evidently a switch there, and Davilas must trip it. This causes something to happen. It suddenly begins raining! Interesting.

On a cobblestone floor at northeastern F-4, there is a farming point for more Mirrorstone (time 15:08).

In the far northeast of F-4, there is a teleportal to check out (time 15:23). It takes Davilas into a ruin, it appears. The name of this place is translated as the Delacroix Institute by Google Translate.

Within the ruin, Davilas can examine a benign man-eating wardrobe named Tansu for Sanbitaria (time 16:08). The fairy will reward the good elf with Mini Medal #006!

Further still, Tansu will assign Davilas Quest 303. A very odd thing for a wardrobe to do! The quest is to obtain an item from a Skullgaroo and another from a Gacha Cuckoo. Both enemies are out in the Gatara countryside. At the time, I did not realize these were the enemies I needed to kill.

The other occupant of the room is a Mace Master named Derukuroa. The proprietor, I presume.

Back at the overlook over Gatara, Davilas turns in Quest 009 with Tsuugo at D-5 (time 22:57). One of the rewards is a set of 4 technicolour dreamcloths.

After concluding this quest, Davilas reaches Minstrel Level 32 (time 23:50). He gains 5 skill points.

Afterwards, it is back out to Gatara (time 25:03). Too bad Davilas cannot take the wagon out to Mogarimu's encampment before actually going there himself.

Skullgaroos in the Gatara countryside are one of the targets for Quest 303 (time 26:32). While the quest is active, they drop an ingot key item. I could have dismantled the cuckoos needed, as well, but I did not know about it yet.

At H-6 in the southeast of the Gatara countryside, Davilas exits to Mogarimu (time 29:51). The shield-bearing monsters that are the target for the gate quest are all over this area (time 31:12). Fortunately, they are not nearly as nasty as the palette swaps I struggled against in the Kirika area not long ago.

While hunting them, Davilas and his party have the good fortune to kill a Metal Slime (time 36:10)! Yay!

Before long, Davilas has killed al 20 shield-bearing critters (time 36:52). Oh, yeah!

For Quest 022, Davilas and his crew must slay skeletons with a ball-and-chain on their legs in the tunnels of the Mogarimu area (time 37:18). It may take a little while for the quest item to drop.

At B-7, there are farming spots for Copper Ore (time 38:18).

At B-7, there is a red chest containing 160 gold (time 39:16).

Before long, the party gets the quest item from one of the skeleton prisoners (time 40:01). The quest drop appears to be some gold dust.

After going back to the city of Gatara, the party now heads east through the Gatara countryside towards Chaldea Mountain (time 41:10). This is the way to go in pursuit of the Dwarf thief for the Gatara storyline.

At the base of a tree at E-3, there are farming spots for yarn and branches (time 41:49).

Davilas does drop in on Tansu through the portal at F-4 (time 43:01). However, there is still an enemy to kill for Quest 303, the Gacha Cuckoo.
