โจDescription ๐ง :
What's up ๐ ladies & gentlemen ๐จ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ปโโ๏ธ, it's-a-me ๐ SuperKevinuts! ๐คฉ And welcome back, to a new video on this channel, where today I'm going to play & show you a short, but very fun flash-game, simply named : "Luigi's Day", created by a user named JimDFlower. "Luigi's Day" is a flash-game created & posted, as I said earlier, by a user named JimDFlower, on Newgrounds in February 16, 2002. This flash-game was classified as a : "Action - Platformer - Hop and Bop" genre & since it's publication on internet, it over 480.000 views & a rating of 3.84 of 5 stars, so a pretty decent grade. Despite being poorly executed since it's so short & has only 2 levels, the game got 1 month later since its release the : "Review Crew Pick" which basically is the name of one of the highest Flash Portal awards on Newgrounds. It is based on which submission received the highest average review at the end of each week on Newgrounds. So, that's impressive as hell when you think about it. Although the game doesn't offer the player too many levels to play, considering that it's been made in early 2000s, it's got some solid graphics, it has sounds for the sprites too, which many flash-games back then didn't have & the choice of the soundtrack was a good one, this one being from : "Mario Bros." NES version. Here's the description given by the author in the game : "I might finish the game after all. I submitted this ages ago and I guess it was overlooked because I stuffed it up. I might release more levels but the problem is I have school. I expect to release an updated version in the future so "Sit Tight". To this day, people are still playing this cool flash-game & some of them even consider that it still deserves to be front-paged, so despite the laziness of the creator in making it more complex & vast, he still did a pretty awesome job in its production. Now, let's talk about the flash-game itself... This flash-game opens up with a main-menu, where you can see the logo of the game : "Luigi's Day", then there's 2 buttons : "Play" & "Controls" & the background is a solid light-blue with light-green flowers drawn on it. When selecting : "Controls", you'll be given a draw with they keys listed with which you're gonna control Luigi (Left & Right Arrows to go left & right ; Space to jump ; Down arrow to go down in pipes & ladder & Up arrow to enter doors & climb up a ladder). And when choosing : "Play" you'll be directly sent to the first level (where Luigi begins his journey in this game), which is a overworld type, with a blue & white sky, a bright sun & clouds & even some green hills visible as a background. During this level, the Overworld theme from : "Mario Bros." NES version will play in the background. You "wake up" on a conveyor belt that's been positioned above a river. If you fall in the water, you'll drown, so you can't swim in this game. Next, you gotta land on the grassland next to this conveyor belt, then collect as many coins as you can for a higher score. Once you've done that, just hit the question block at the top of this hill (to reach there, you'll have to climb a wood ladder) then a black door will suddenly appear for you to proceed further in the game... MAGIC! The 2nd & last level takes place in a pyramid, where you can see on the brown wall a few torches that will illuminate your way around here, as well as some writings in : "Aurek-Besh Hand" font, that roughly means : "THIS writing is from star". The Underground theme from again, "Mario Bros." NES version will play in the background of this level. Here again, you gotta collect as many coins as you can for extra points to the score & just like in the first level, there will be ladders to climb on. There will be some gray block to walk on, as well as some green pipes where you'll encounter the first enemy of this game, this one being obviously Piranha Plant. Although this game's files contains some sprites for Goomba, they appear to lack from it, due to the fact that they were never included in the gameplay itself. There are some pits with lava in it that can't be passed, only using a boat of logs. At the end of the level, you'll get a flagpole that if you pull it down, another door will appear & when you enter it, the credits will appear where you can see Link & Donkey Kong for odd reasons. That's all folks! ๐ Don't forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, SHARE & COMMENT ๐ if you appreciated this video ๐๐ & for some more content ๐ in the near future! ๐
