Luke's Laptops - Dell Latitude C600
3So... another day, another Luke's Laptops video. And this one was briefly featured before; a Dell Latitude C600. It has a similar processor to the Inspiron 8000 (a 1GHz PIII), but makes do with a 8MB ATI Rage Mobility M3/M4 graphics chip. This is a rare C600; it has the 14.1", 1400x1050 screen, when most were XGA (1024x768) screens. It has a few cosmetic issues, but is functionally almost perfect, bar the key that won't go on.
I would have put the good M and N keys onto the Inspiron 8000's old keyboard (or pulled the typical English keys from that keyboard and fitted them to this keyboard, whilst trying to fix the mounting for the left arrow)... but they actually have totally different mounting points (despite both the keys and the keyboard being the same size and shape), and the Inspiron's keyboard is far more mechanical feeling as a result.
