The Lunar Remastered Collection officially launched today, April 18, 2025, bringing two beloved 1990s JRPG classics—Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete—to modern platforms with a host of enhancements. Developed by Game Arts and published by GungHo Online Entertainment, the collection is available digitally and physically for PlayStation 4 (with PS5 compatibility), Xbox One (with Series X|S compatibility), Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
This remastered edition features updated 2D visuals, widescreen support, and HD-upscaled anime cutscenes. Players can choose between the original "Classic" fullscreen graphics or the enhanced "Remastered" visuals. The collection also includes newly recorded English voice acting, the original Japanese voice track, and added French and German language options for text and subtitles. Quality-of-life improvements such as a battle speed toggle and refined strategy settings have been implemented to modernize the gameplay experience.
For collectors, physical editions are available exclusively through Amazon and feature reversible covers with new artwork by original series artist Toshiyuki Kubooka.
