I have taken up reviewing Free To Play Steam games in my free time when I get the chance. Most of them will be posted on my curator channel on Steam but you get a pitiful amount of characters so I'm using the description of a YouTube video to get my real say on it. I will most likely not post too many videos because this 5-minute video took me about 3 hours to upload.
Feelsbadman.

So, Lunarsea: Obviously, free is always a bonus. This game has a lot of internet flash game vibes, with the coin-collecting to buy upgrades to get further, rinse + repeat, except this one has levels on it instead. Not too many, but for a small game that's free you can't expect too much. It works, which is a bonus, the general mechanic of the game is good and logical, and your purpose is simple. In this case, simplicity really sells it. It's not meant to be anything gritty or incredibly difficult, it's just a bit of a challenge and something entertaining to pass the time. Music is fitting, the same song on a loop, but if you're concentrating enough it falls into background noise and doesn't get annoying. Upgrades are relevant and actually helpful, which is definitely a plus. As mentioned, graphics are simple, but for the purpose of the game they don't need to be any more than they are. Overall I would recommend it, it's fun, easy to understand, controls are simple and easy to manage, and it's entertaining. The only downside is that there's only so much in the way of challenges that they can pose you, so after about level 5 or 6, you've already seen all the obstacles. You just get them thrown at you quicker and more irregularly as the levels go on, but it keeps it entertaining and holds the pace. Personally also I didn't see too much replay value potential after you finish the levels, you'd just have endless mode and the mini-challenges, but those earn you coins and after you've got all the upgrades you finish at a dead end. Either way, good game for a bit of light fun, would rate 6.5/10.
