Steps:
- Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your Mac.
- From here you can click ‘lock screen’ to take you to the lock screen where you can log in to other user accounts, but not log out of your current user account.
- Or you can click ‘logout of your account name’ to logout of your account, you will then be brought to the lock screen and be able to login to other user accounts.
- There are also keyboard shortcuts you can use to perform these actions, they are as follows.
- To go to the lock screen and not be logged out of your current user account press the ‘control’, ‘command’, and ‘Q’ keys simultaneously.
- To logout of your user account and go to the lock screen press the ‘shift’, ‘command’, and ‘Q’ keys simultaneously.
- Once you get to the lock screen click ‘switch user’ at the bottom.
- You can now click on the user account that you would like to log in to, enter the password and log in.
