The views have spoken! More classic Madden headed your way. Super excited for this one because I spent hours upon hours playing this one as a kid. 98 on SNES 99 on N64 and 04 on PS2 are the three Maddens I've played the most by far and wide.

Someone on the last video commented on Jerome Bettis, so of course I had to take The Bus out for a test drive and man did he deliver. This matchup was an absolute shootout and one of the most fun games I've recorded so far.

To be honest I had forgotten that the playbooks were so simplified you don't even pick packages, just plays. I looked in the options after recording and couldn't find anything for play calling so the standard simplified must be the only setting. It makes the overall game easier to play but certainly reduces a lot of the tactics if you are a student of the game.

I do absolutely love the tackle animations though. Full on body slams, horse collars, I think I even saw a stone cold stunner at some point. Absolutely over the top and makes me laugh when I see them. You expect this kinda stuff from Blitz not Madden.

Rough around the edges but still a lot of fun, give it a try sometime.
