Once upon a time we were blessed with the greatest podcast known to man: The Biggest Problem in the Universe, starring Maddox and Dick Masterson. After it abruptly ended, Maddox (the host) started accusing the co-host (Dick Masterson) of some pretty awful stuff in a hit-piece video. This video was designed, redesigned and focus-grouped tested before it was released to try and paint Dick in the worst light possible, causing him to lose friends and his place in some shows running in the LA Comedy Community. Maddox eventually tried to claim the podcast trademark for himself and also sued Dick for $380,000,000 dollars (although his lawsuit was so poorly written it was unclear). The lawsuit (now known as the LOLsuit) has been studied by various lawyers on YouTube (e.g. Nick Rekieta and YouTuber Law) who have pointed out the vast incompetence present throughout.
This story is so massive it would take a book to fully explain, and will go down in the annuls of internet history as one of the most massive failures of a (washed-up) internet celebrity. In a nutshell, Maddox has lost the $380 million dollar lawsuit and the trademark dispute.
