Mafia II is the third-person shooter sequel to Mafia. The game was developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K Games. Mafia 2 was originally released on 23rd August 2010 and the definitive edition was released 19rd May 2020, which is a particle remaster of the original game that was made nearly 10 years ago. The game is set in 1940s - 1950s Empire Bay, a fictional city based on New York City. The storyline for Mafia II is a gritty drama and chronicles the rise of Vito Scaletta, the son of Sicilian immigrants. As the game progresses, Vito joins the Falcone Crime Family and becomes a "made man", as does his best friend Joe Barbaro. Although the two get dragged into a city wide fight between the families which has the potential to end both of their journeys and their lives if they aren't careful.
