What do we want to do with Magistus? Floodgate everything we can. That's why we have Secret Village of the Spellcasters (Mystic Mine at home), to stop our opponent even further. What you will lock with Zoroa's effect? Whatever you want (since I've seen a lot of fusions and links, those were my choice to keep on the field while record). As long as you're going first and managed to pull of an Toadally Awesome or the Village, you'll probably be fine.

As of the time of recording, the new Earthbound cards were not added to EDOPRO, but well, i'd surely add Harmonic Synchro Fusion in order to bring both Zoroa and Aiwass at the same time.

You could run other floodgates or hand traps instead of Magnum/Polymerization and Necro Fusion/Quintet Magician - I have opted to play with them because Magnum is either a draw or a destruction and Quintet is a board nuke.

Overall, i think that the Magistus archetype works fine by itself, but they'd be better off splashed as an engine (to bring Zoroa and Aiwass) on other spellcaster decks (Witchcrafter, as an example).
