At the beginning you may have enough with one maintenance post, since you won't have much workload for them.
As you expand your camp and new recruits arrive, though, you will need to build more buildings and hire more people, so maintenance should follow this line of development.
Build posts and upgrade the building with research points, so you can unlock useful improvements for your progress, such as being able to assign more workers to the same maintenance building, increase its efficiency and others.
On the other hand, these work teams will be in charge of cleaning and fixing any problem in all the buildings of the camp, since a clean place is essential for everything to work well.
They will also be in charge of taking supplies from the warehouses to their respective locations, such as medicine, food, ammunition or fuel for electricity.
