-If you're getting appalling collision damage in Kalamazoo (volcano), it may be a result of the bug shown below. Don't throw Dynamite while lava is flying!

-Not be confused with its earlier, very different North American incarnation, "Dark Adventure." It's effectively a Life Force to that game's Salamander; in fact moreso, given the extensive changes to stage progression, player weaponry, and many other aspects. As expected of wonderful Hamster, the ACA release includes both, plus the EU rev "Devil World," which seems more or less identical to JP (and is not to be confused with Nintendo's FC dot eater).

-Key and food RNG seems rather enigmatic. I've not seen any consistent breakdowns of how it works, and if it can be manipulated... though I deliberately didn't look too hard while making my own efforts. Score digits? Map usage? Good ol' Rank?

-Mostly, it's all about the key drops. Fortune can vary with particular starkness in Pacifica (lava lake) and Metropolis (fortress).

-I'm roughly certain that food is balanced to randomly appear in certain stages, while missing others. If Laroux's food isn't there, it's likely Metropolis will have its, and vice-versa.

-The best counter to the key/food RNG is knowing all the possible locations these items can appear, so you can efficiently scope out and cross off potential drop points while moving through the stage.

-With the HP drain, the weapon balance seems to favour the Bazooka's swift kills, though its low shot frequency takes adjusting to.
