Making a Meta - Episode 3
This started out as a big mess because none of it was properly planned and badly communicated.
On the other hand its not exactly easy to do either so make of that what you will.
Dont take anything too serious, especially when I complain about stuff.
Alfitz has been playing more Spy lately and I thought I might as well take that opportunity and see how far he can go with a Medi Gun up his ass.
I know this is going to be very controversial but I'm just going to say it.
Scottish Resistance Demoman + Kritzkrieg Medic = Spy + Uber Medic
I'll just give you a minute to calm down if you got upset. If you are ready, continue reading.
Alright, I'll be fair and say thats not entirely correct since a Demo combo can basically nuke any Giant that isnt a Boss Type out of existence in a second.
But let me ask you a question. Do you think a Spy can get close to the dps of a Demoman?
Realistically thinking Demoman has Burst Damage, Splash Damage, Ranged Combat - all things that make it ten times easier compared to a Spy who "only" has a Knife dealing single target damage, is in Melee Range and gets focused almost immediately by every enemy in a certain proximity.
If only there was a way to give Spy the chance to be free of the massive attention he gets. Nobody would notice him and he could freely stab away to his hearts content.
I'm sure by now you caught on where this is going.
Its not as simple as putting a Demo combo to work but it doesnt have to be.
The point of it is to break free from the constraints of the "META Mentality".
The amount of times people cry me a river whenever they see something they have no idea about is staggering.
Isnt this called "Making a Meta"? Yes and its a joke, just like the Meta itself.
If players dont know what they are doing, playing according to the Meta doesnt mean jack shit.
Anything can be Meta as long as you excel at it.
