So lets look at the RAND switch, or more appropriately named RANDom Switch. The Rand switch is probably the most useless component in rust unless you play rust just for the memes. The rand switch is good for anything you don't want to be reliable, meaning if you want a component with a mind of its own, congratulations, i present to you the useless RAND switch!
The rand switch outputs power that's inserted into the bottom of it completely randomly based on the number of times you put power through the SET input. when the lights are red/green it means the poser isn't going through the rand switch. If the lights are green/green it means there's power being allowed through. You can then reset the rand switch one of two ways. First you can link something to the reset input for example a switch, or you can just hit the SET input again and the rand switch will re-roll another random time.
The only real use for the rand switch I've found is for puzzle bases and trolling rust trap bases. You can trap random players or make people succeed in a puzzle base based on sheer luck. Its up to you
