The confrontation in an eye glass store in Des Moines last year occurred after an employee asked Shane Wayne Michael to pull his face mask over his nose.
Authorities say Shane Wayne Michael later confronted the worker outside and gouged his eyes, hit him in the genitals and then coughed and spit on them.
