Manos: The Hands Of Fate (1966), remixed with music by Angelo Badalamenti - New trailer included!
Can the musical wizardry of David Lynch maestro, Angelo Badalamenti, save "Manos: The Hands Of Fate" from being THE WORST film ever made? Perhaps with a slightly re-visualized story line, the audio magic of Twin Peaks just might pull this all-time loser of a movie out of the fire. Then again, it may simply be worth the trouble of resisting the will of Manos in order to hear Badalamenti's hypnotic score. Note that this is the original public domain footage, which I have panned and zoomed into widescreen existence, and NOT the re-mastered footage from 2011. Now explore the tale of a creepy mystic manor no one ever sees from the outside except as the side door of an abandoned southwestern US bolero! Watch in bewilderment as a small child and her mother are somehow turned into the wives of the fiend known only as The Master! Swoon at the sight of the mysterious obsidian statue known only as Manos, God of hands! Explore the tawdry secret affair between a stunted satyr named Torgo and a tempestuous housewife named Maggie, and an intimate nocturnal liaison between Mike, Maggie's husband, and a neglected, nympho-maniacal wife of The Master. Watch in horror as Torgo's hand is reduced to a flaming stump as The Master's disobedient wife is made into a human sacrifice, forced to endure the maniacal laughter of The Master while watching Torgo's severed hand melt before her very eyes! Will Debbie ever find another puppy? Will Mike's car ever run again? Will that teenage couple necking out on the highway ever have real roles to play in Manos: The Hands Of Fate? A film made on a bet, defies the odds! It's snake eyes and box cars for Manos: The God of Hands!
