Margin Calls are literally happening right now!
Note that margin calls are only the request to meet additional requirements, it takes 2-5 days before the liquidations are forced, but right now there are a lot of funds out there that have 2-5 days to come up with additional capital, or pray the market runs back up.
If it doesn't there WILL be a number of hedge funds being liquidated
However, after CNBC releasing a new segment; markets in turmoil, it looks like the market crash is here to stay.
It's also been calculated that right now, Tiger Global are losing around $28m AN HOUR! Losing around $120m a day and since January, Tiger have lost around $15bn.
