Situation on the curving slopes at start of lap 3:

-1st: green
-2nd (me): red
-3rd: triple reds

I'm forced to hang onto my red to stop one. Then you see what happens - I manage to get to the item boxes (despite being lazily blue hit) and draw a green, stopping a second, and then thanks to the blue, I get ahead and Metal Mario is left out to dry. :)
