The next one is the Triforce Cup, this was DLC in the base game, as it was part of the DLC update that included Link as a playable character. The tracks for this cup are Wii Wario's Gold Mine, SNES Rainbow Road, Ice Ice Outpost, and Hyrule Circuit.
This one has some really good tracks, and I like how they improved Wario's Gold Mine, because I was not a fan of that track in Mario Kart Wii because the mine carts were hazards, but in this game, the mine carts act as Spin Boost Pillars, so you can get a Spin Boost from the mine carts. SNES Rainbow Road is back for the fourth time, it was in Mario Kart: Super Circuit along with every other SNES track, it was the final track in Mario Kart 7, and for some reason it is in this game, but not the final track in the Triforce Cup.
I am not a fan of Ice Ice Outpost, although it does have some good music, and the final track, Hyrule Circuit is one of my favourite songs in the game as it is a remix of some songs from The Legend of Zelda series, and it is good to see Rupees take the place of coins, as this track does take place in Hyrule.
The character I chose for this cup is Wario, and I had to give him a bike, even though the Wario Bike from Mario Kart Wii is not in this game, I went with Varmint, Funky Monster, and Wario Wing, and this is one of Wario's vehicle combos as a CPU player. For Wario's other combos as a CPU player, he has Standard Kart, Monster, and Super Glider, his second one is Tri-Speeder, Off-Road, and Wario Wing, and his fourth is Standard ATV, or Standard Quad, Monster, and Super Glider.
Like Bowser and Donkey Kong, Wario is one of the classic heavyweight characters, although his playable Mario Kart appearance was in Mario Kart 64, so the acceleration and handling would not be too great, and I don't usually like to use heavyweight characters that much in higher speed classes, like 150cc, because I like to go with lightweight characters for that.
As for Wario's rivals in the Grand Prix, he has Mario and Daisy, well I can understand Mario, but I don't know why Daisy for one of his rivals, I guess it's because Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land, while Wario first appeared in that game's sequel. For other characters that have Wario as a CPU rival, Toadette and Donkey Kong are the other two characters.
