this run uses Hard CPU and Frantic Mode on top of being all tracks in 200cc. this is the hardest setting possible in the game.

i had uploaded this run last year and then submitted to SDA and had it posted a while ago ( http://speeddemosarchive.com/MarioKart8.html ) but i still had the original raw file in my HDD so i figured i could still do something with it before getting rid of it and i went and made a 1440p upscale of it. the original was 720p so the upscale is a simple 2x scale in both height and width and that has no quality loss.

the original timing i had was 1:40:49 but i'm guessing the SDA timers removed load times to come up with 1:40:24.

this is probably the most i've pushed my computer since i got it. the video took 2 whole days to get encoded and the final file was 18 GB. now i hope Youtube's final encoding doesn't mess up the higher qualities.
