I rarely ever get to play any sort of multi-player with anyone due to lack of friends in reality (I live in a terrible area for that). So when my sister's boyfriend was over for a visit, I told him that I had the new Mario Kart game and offered for him to play.
He's player 1 since he wanted the pro controller, so I used the game pad. Pardon his terrible skills with the game: He hasn't touched a Maio Kart game since 64.
We still had a ton of fun, though, so I guess that's what matters most! Plus I got a rare splitscreen recording out of it (rare for me anyway), so it's all good!
