This is (video 4 of 4) from an online game session of Mario Kart: Double Dash for the Nintendo Gamecube played on 12/27/09.

This video shows a bunch of "balloon battle" multiplayer matches. You start off with 3 balloons attached to your kart. Every time you are hit by another player you lose one. The last player to have a balloon wins the match.

This mode can be fun, but I find the "shine thief" mode to be more consistently entertaining. This mode usually ends too quickly.

There were 2 people on my console and we played split screen. The other person played online with us and lived about 60 miles away.

Xlink lets you play PS2 games online even once their online servers are taken down. This means that Xbox, Gamecube, and Playstation 2 games can be played online forever.

Although, Gamecube Games work terrible over Xlink for the most part. Until internet speeds improve to an insane amount, Gamecube games will never work well over LAN Tunneling programs like Xlink Kai.

As this video shows,if you live relatively close to the other Gamecube tunneler, Games like Mario Kart: Double Dash can be playable. The other person that this game was played online with lived about 60 miles away from me. His internet speed was 6.0mbps down/ 1.5mbps up. My internet speed was around 700kbps down/ 256kbps up.

So, if you are lucky enough to find someone living in your general area, you can LAN tunnel this game without the frame rate turning the game into slow motion.
