Have you heard of Velan Studios? They're the developers of Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, due out in October 2020 on Nintendo Switch. This is their first game, but the core team at Velan has a lot of Nintendo history, specifically the founders, Guha and Karthik Bala. The brothers founded Velan in 2016, and 26 years earlier founded Vicarious Visions while in high school. Vicarious Visions is owned by Activision, but their history is peppered with Nintendo partnerships, whether it's the online play of Tony Hawk's American Sk8land on DS, the DLC in Guitar Hero on Wii, the guitar grip on DS, and the Nintendo characters in Skylanders SuperChargers.
