Nintendo and even more specifically Mario have endless amounts of official merch with even more cursed bootleg toys. In this video we go over some of the craziest and weirdest Nintendo merchandise from figures to accessories, plushes and even a shower nozzle.

Hello and welcome back to Game Domain! Today we are going to be covering some of the craziest and weirdest Nintendo toys and merchandise that have ever been released to the public. Whether it was a fast food chain kids meal toy, Japanese exclusive release, or just poorly designed mass released toy, we are going to take a look at all sorts of weirdness in today’s video. And if you guys like this one, we might have some more parts in the near future. We’re going to mainly focus on Nintendo’s big three franchises - Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, and Super Mario - but some other franchises will be sprinkled in as well. We’ll cover a broader scope in future videos, but there is enough weird merch from these three franchises for us to just cover them in today’s video. So let’s get into the video!

Wind-Up Link toy
You know in horror movies when there is like an eerie wind up doll that plays that creepy sound off in the distance? Or maybe you had a pleasant wind up toy when you were a kid, or if you still are a kid, well whatever you get the point. Yea, let’s just say Nintendo tried to do this with Link…and it's exactly as weird as it sounds. This Link makes a weird humming sound and slides across the floor as it “go’s”...yea I’ll take a hard pass.

Nintendo Labo
Ok well this one is a joke. But wait, is it a joke? I mean, seriously, how did Nintendo think that was a good idea? It’s literally cardboard…

-
Dino & Martin
How do you make a knock off toy of Mario and Yoshi? By abandoning the italian theme and giving Mario a name like Martin, and calling Yoshi what he is - a dinosaur I guess..although I doubt dino’s had that long tongue. Mario, cough sorry Martin, actually doesn't look half bad in this knock off design, but I mean what is this Yoshi. He has no eyes, just a vicious bright red light as if he’s coming to kill you. While this one is weird, it's not as horrific as some other knock off designs.

NB Blocks
Yea, exactly what it sounds like. Back in the 1960’s Nintendo tried to win customers over from LEGO with their own knock off brick sets. Let’s just say it did not work.

Famibots
This Japanese release only toy makes literally no sense. It is original Super Mario cartridges with Mario heads and arms on them…I mean like in what world was this ever supposed to be a slightly bright idea? Who would want this? The design makes no sense - and the head and arms don’t even look anything like Mario is supposed to look. This is certainly one of the more ridiculous things out there. Thank Arceus it only was released in Japan and we didn’t get them in the US.
