I move onto the Duel Mode, this is a 1-on-1 mode where you use your partners to fight, and each character have their own starting partners. I play as Wario for this one, and I choose Waluigi for the CPU, and for starting partners, Wario has Bob-omb, and Waluigi has Piranha Plant.
Going over partners, they have health, attack power, and how many coins you have to pay for each partner, and if you have no coins, your partner leaves. Going over each partner, Koopa Troopa has 2 health, but has 1 attack, he is Mario's default partner, and Goomba is the opposite where his attack power is higher than health, and is Luigi's default partner. Toad has 1 for every stat, and while he might seem basic, he prevents your coins from being stolen, which is what happens when you step on your opponent's space, and he is the default partner for Peach. Bob-omb is a one time use partner, and he directly attacks your opponent, and is the default partner for Wario. Next is Boo, Yoshi's default partner, Boo has good attack power, and if he is attacked, he can counterattack for equal damage. Whomp is all about defense, he has 4 health, but he cannot attack, and this is Donkey Kong's partner. Snifit is the default partner for Daisy, at the start of each turn, there is a chance of Snifit giving coins to the player, and he is a balanced partner. Piranha Plant has the highest attack power of 3, and there is a chance he can give you an extra dice block that allows you to move up to 3 spaces, and he is Waluigi's default partner. Next is Chain Chomp, who attacks opponent and all partners at once, next is Thwomp, this one can instantly defeat partners, but cannot attack the opponent directly. Mr. Blizzard has the most health out of all partners, and he attacks by throwing a snowball at the most distant opponent, and last up is Baby Bowser, the worse partner out of all of them, there is a 2 in 5 chance that he can transform into Bowser and deal triple damage, or he can end up doing nothing.
The board is Gate Guy, there are two gates, known as the Gate Guys, and you have to pay coins to them to pass, and at the middle is Belltop, when you pass him, he counts down, and when it reaches 0, all players move to where Belltop is and play a Duel Minigame.
Like with other boards, or the Battle Royale Mode, I will be listing minigames that have appeared in Duel Mode, and there are some that can appear two or more times in this video.
Popgun Pick-Off
Game Guy's Magic Boxes
Baby Bowser Bonkers
Motor Rooter
End of the Line
Fowl Play
Crowd Cover
Silly Screws

I will list minigames that make their first appearance even in Duel Mode, as there were some that did not make an appearance in the Battle Royale Mode, and in this map, three of them made their first appearance, and here is a list of them.
Baby Bowser Bonkers
Motor Rooter
End of the Line

Going over the minigames, Motor Rooter is an interesting one where you speed up when you drive over acceleration panels, but you slow down when you make contact with Amps. End of the Line is one of my least favourite Duel Mode minigames, you ride Steamer, a train, through three tunnels, and this is not only a luck-based minigame, but also a memory based one.
