After completing Gym Leader Castle and the Stadium Cups, you unlock Doduo GB Tower for one of them, and Dodrio GB Tower for completing both. Our final opponent is the Rival from Pokémon Gold & Silver, otherwise known as Rival. He is a challenging opponent, as he has three Legendary Pokémon on his team, here are what he uses and their moves.
Mewtwo: Psychic, ThunderPunch, Hidden Power (Fighting), Safeguard (TwistedSpoon)
Ho-Oh: Sacred Fire, Steel Wing, Earthquake, Safeguard (Charcoal)
Lugia: Aeroblast, Psychic, Surf, Safeguard (Sharp Beak)

The team I selected was suggested through the Rental FAQ on GameFAQs, which was updated very recently. Corsola is the lead, it can Mirror Coat on Mewtwo if it leads, and for Lugia or Ho-Oh, it can switch into another Pokémon. Aerodactyl's AncientPower comes to great use in this battle, specially when against Ho-Oh and if it gets the stat boost from that move. The Rival's team is very challenging, he does like to start with Safeguard, and his Legendary Pokémon have powerful signature moves, Lugia has Aeroblast, a Flying-type move with a high chance to score a critical hit, and Ho-Oh has Sacred Fire, a Fire-type move which has a chance to burn the target. Mewtwo is a powerful opponent, but with Dark and Steel-types introduced to keep its power in check, it does have Hidden Power Fighting to deal super effective damage against them.
After beating the Rival, the credits roll, but before then, it goes through all 251 Pokémon in the first two generations, and then that is when the credits come in. Then after that, you get a special gift Pokémon, for beating Rival, you get a Farfetch'd which knows the move Baton Pass, this is a move Farfetch'd cannot learn normally, and you can send that over to Pokémon Gold, Silver, or Crystal.
For beating the Rival, you unlock Round 2, and like in the first Pokémon Stadium, Round 2 is much harder than Round 1, and the Trainers add more variety of their teams, and even include different moves not normally learned by level up or TM, I will go more into detail about that when I get around to doing Round 2.
The Stadium Cups, I didn't include too much in the description as there wasn't too much space, but I tried to see how much I could include in the amount of space there was, and that was going over different items and what they did, as this is the second generation of Pokémon, and that was when items were introduced, and going through this game without the Game Boy games, as you cannot connect with them in the Nintendo Switch Online version, this does make things harder. There is no Hall of Fame like in the first Pokémon Stadium, I could see how much time it would take to try and get all 251 Pokémon into the Hall of Fame if they brought that over to this game. That is about as much as I want to go over, and we'll see how Round 2 goes when I get around to doing that.
