Subject: Decided to try out Mario's Vanilla Journey by akacesfan. It's been worked on for quite awhile now and a new demo of the hack was released this pass C3. (Also accepted into the hack section.) This hack is basically designed to give off the Super Mario World vibe and manages to do a pretty good job at it while being unique still. As usual this is a no power up play through which means I can't collect the midpoint. I decided to add one extra challenge to this play through and that is collecting all the Yoshi Coins. The only exception to not completing a level without all the Yoshi Coins is if collecting a dragon coin requires you to be big Mario. (Which there are a few levels that do.)

Info: So there appears to be another exception to completing the level without all the dragon coins and that's if the dragon coin decides not to show up. (Due to Item memory.) Happened in Lakeside Fortress as the 5th dragon coin is to the far left of where the boss door is. Anyways, we finish up the rest of World 1 in this episode. Even though it's only three levels we still end up making quite a bit of progress. So I learned that apparently I haven't fought Reznor in so long that I seem to be bad at fighting them now....Considering my history with custom bosses....it's actually kind of sad.
