You may realize that the quality of this video is different then usual and that's because I actually resorted to recording to ZSNES this time. In a rush and don't have much time to wait for the video to render.


Anyways I actually wasn't thinking about ripping these graphics but
my good friend Daizo Dee Von challenged me to rip the tile set. I was prepared to deny instantly because it looked kind of complicated but I decided I'd give it a shot. Little did I know it didn't turn out to be so bad after all. (Mainly the first portion of the sample level was a pain to rip.) Other than that everything turned out pretty good surprisingly. There is one thing I messed up on and that's the gate passage. As you can see it isn't aligned correctly and I didn't notice until I placed it in the level. I do plan on fixing it though.

This tile set uses, not one, nor two, or three but FIVE palette rows! There are four parts to stage 1 and I wanted to rip each tile set individually to avoid this issue but it was suggested I merged these two together. Well I'm not sure how useful the first portion of the level is. It's pretty clashy so some strings may have to be pulled to get them to fit in a Mario Hack but the gate portion is actually pretty neat. I can see those graphics fitting in better with less strings needing to be pulled.
