"Martian Gothic: Unification" is a survival horror video game that was developed for the PlayStation. The game is set on a Martian base in the year 2019, where a team of three members (Martin Karne, Diane Matlock, Kenzo Uji) have been sent to investigate after 10 months of radio silence. Upon arrival, they discover that the crew members of the base have been killed and reanimated as bloodthirsty zombies.

The gameplay is similar to the Resident Evil series, with a third-person perspective, fixed camera angles, and a focus on puzzle-solving and exploration rather than combat. The game features a unique mechanic where the three playable characters are separated and if they ever meet face-to-face, it results in a game over. The player can switch between characters at any moment and they communicate via radio. The characters can trade items using the Vac-Tubes scattered throughout the base.

The goal of the game is to unravel the events that occurred before the characters' arrival by searching dead bodies for letters or micro-recorders which may contain information about the character, plot, passwords, and the method in which they might have died. The game is a spine-tingling adventure on a cold and isolated planet, filled with ancient nightmares and mysteries waiting to be solved.
