Marvel Avengers Alliance-Is the Attilan Set worth buying? Flaming Post? Web Breaker?

Hello folks. Currently on sale in the MAA store is the Attilan Set. This is the Spec Ops 13 Set and it was centered around the Inhumans with Thane and Blackbolt. Many people might want to know-is it worth buying? How about the Flaming Post and the Web Breaker?

Let's tackle the easy ones; The Flaming Post and The Web Breaker. For both of these, I'd say likely no leaning towards yes if you have the budget and a plan. I personally did not get the axe but I did get The Flaming Post. The axe is good if you plan on running a team with AnVe and Spidey. You could orient your agent to spam the axe if you use things like the cube, neurotrope and some other quick action. The post is not bad if you want to run Rockey and you could pair it with a protect item on the agent to get the counter swerve on.

Now for the meat of the buffet-The Attilan Set. Is it worth it? I'd say yes for sure. The whole bundle is worth a grab. Why? Well the set can be pieced out rather nicely and you are NOT forced into running the whole set. Sadly the one weakness is the Mystic turning off ALL of the items but there's a few ways of fixing that (Hexenjaeger, SoA, etc). One of the biggest items this set can do without is the Might of Attilan. It's not one of the cornerstones of the set. The rest of the set took a nerf from its initial release but it is still really solid. You could run the mace, the staff, the QA and the cube and have a nice combo. You are VERY vulnerable to the Mystic though. You could drop it down to 2 items like the mace and the QA then run the void generator and power cell on offense or the cuber and the custom MFG on defense. This could ensure a nice amount of shield slams and no real order issue outside of the first round.

All in all, I'd pass on the other 2 items but the set is worth a purchase. I know I will be snagging it to complete one of the last spec ops items that I didn't finish (and want). Likely the next set due up will be the Dark Defiance set which centers around the second Thor movie. Is that set worth it? I'd say likely no.
