A lot of people argue that the Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn't changed in any major ways over the years. But in reality there is a lot of stuff that is quite different from what we initially got back in 2008. Let's take a look at the evolution of the MCU over the years. Let’s start this video off in the most natural spot, where it all began. The first film in what would become the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

X-Men! Well ok, that’s technically correct as of the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (kinda of, we’ll get to that) but that’s not what I’m talking about. 2008 saw the release of Iron Man, the first solo film starring Robert Downey Jr. as the tech-clad billionaire Tony Stark. This film served as the first proper project for the newly established Marvel Studios, an arm of Marvel Comics that was started in order to try to maintain all of the media related to their comic properties.
