The Shazam family, or Shazamily, are one of the strongest families in the entire DC universe. It’s really cool that Billy Batson got to share his powers a bit! So we all know the story by now. Billy Batson is a young kid who is chosen to be the Wizard Shazam’s champion and whenever he says the magic word, he is transformed to have the strength of all the major gods fused together into one champion and fights to protect the word. Using one of the bits of wisdom he picked up from the gods, Billy is actually able to transfer some of his power to his foster family, instilling in them all the same powers, with a few minor differences and upgrades.

Like one member of his family is technopath, the other has super speed, and the other is stronger than the others! That just provides a slightly more balanced superhero team, and makes it overall more reader-friendly to everyone. So it’s a win-win! Also a part of his technical family is the antihero Black Adam, who’s just around to change the hierarchy of power for the DC forever. Billy and Black Adam’s powers are so similar that it’s such a shame they could never meet on the big screen! Other members of the Shazam family you may not have known about include a giant tiger, and Billy’s biological father! Yeah I’m talking about all those today!
