The Fantastic Four are coming in Phase 5 of the MCU! The Fantastic Four is currently in development at Marvel Studios and will make the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in phase 5 of the mcu. What’s the status of Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four movie? Marvel Studios confirmed an MCU Fantastic Four movie during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, after years of anticipation and excitement about the former Fox characters joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Prior to this, 20th Century Fox owned the film rights to the Fantastic Four, and the studio made multiple attempts to launch a full-fledged series based on the property: Tim Story's Fantastic Four in 2005, which spawned the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot in 2015. But now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox, the Fantastic Four rights are back in Marvel Entertainment's hands. And so, Marvel Studios is gearing up to launch their own Fantastic Four movie in the near future.
