During the auditon, there was about 40 male seiyuu

Kappei Yamaguchi was also at the audition
So he tho "this is bad, i don't think i can get the part" he was very nervous
If he could relate himself to tenchi, he would say they are both shy.

Also Tenchi is athletic and has a good body built [meaning his strong], something Kikuchi-san is not.
