6Commander Jane Shepard, 29 born April 11 2154 on Earth, an orphan raised in the streets escaped a life of petty crime by enlisting in the Alliance Military in 2172. In 2176 Shepard rallied the colonists of Elysium to hold off a band of Batarian slavers, pirates and warlords in the Skyllian Blitz. When enemy forces broke through the colony's defenses, Shepard single-handedly held them off. She was awarded the Star of Terra for her actions, and is regarded throughout the Alliance as a War Hero. Shepard is a tech-savvy warrior who combines combat and tech abilities to disable or kill enemies at long range. Infiltrators are trained to use omni-tools, focusing on decryption and offensive capabilities.
