Tali has been notified by the Migrant Fleet that she has been officially charged with Treason - but she doesn't know why. Initially, she's just letting her "Captain" know what's going on and that she needs to return to the Quarians - but instead, Shep offers to go with her.
Turns out, that was a lucky break, because it meant Tali had at least one person on her side for this, and Shepard speaks out frankly and well for her friend. Tali's aunt Shala'Raan effectively helped ambush her to be shocked into being told only as part of a "Court" Hearing - The Conclave, before the Admiralty Board - that her father had been abord the Alarei ship when it was overtaken by Geth... Geth her own father had taken onboard.
Tali immediately goes with Shep to retake the Alarei - and in doing so, learn some harsh truths about her father. However, she doesn't want the Admiralty to find out and tarnish his name, and everyone/thing connected. Shep again, gets on with showing why she's been the one to short the Seriously Big Shit out
