Mass Effect - Wine Wednesday! (Linux)
Mass Effect running in Wine :)
The File to edit if you have sound issues: (default location)
[HOME]/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Mass Effect/Engine/Config/BaseEngine.ini
then find the section marked [ISACTAudio.ISACTAudioDevice] and add
DeviceName=Generic Software
UseEffectsProcessing=False
Dont forget to make sure hardware audio is turned off because that stuff sucks. :)

Note: I know SOMEONE will tell me in comments that Linux doesn't lock files the way windows does do you don't need to close the text editor, I know SOMEONE will point it out. Here's the thing though, if you have Steam open in WINE and you right click the game to browser the files it opens a WINDOWS file manager, and then it opens WINDOWS notepad. Didn't want to tell people NOT to do it this way because its fine and there's no reason no to but THAT could result in the file not being accessible to the game if you don't close shitty windows editor... at least that's how I THINK notepad works... i don't know, i don't use windows :/
